The applicable quality plan should identify what characteristic is checked, when, by which method, and which specification version applies.
Operator prompts
MES can trigger required checks by operation, quantity, time or event and prevent completion until mandatory results are recorded.
Device integration
Measurement devices can send results electronically where supported, reducing re-entry. Device identity, calibration status and unit handling still require governance.
Failed results
Out-of-spec results can create controlled holds or escalate review. Final disposition should remain with authorized quality roles.
